Coranto public information

Editorial Methodology

How Coranto discovers, verifies, reconstructs and maintains concise original reporting.

Lawful acquisition

Coranto uses lawfully accessible public reporting, primary information, open data and OSINT discovery, and paid or licensed material only where access has actually been obtained. Public availability does not by itself create republication rights.

Newsworthiness before source availability

A source establishes evidence; it does not decide the agenda. Coranto searches across breaking and local news, crime, emergencies, transport, weather, business, consumer affairs, technology, science, health, courts, politics, international affairs, culture, entertainment, sport and human-interest reporting.

Independent reporting lines

Repeated publication of one wire report, press release or statement is grouped by common origin and does not become independent corroboration through repetition.

Verification and uncertainty

Material assertions are compared across relevant evidence. Credible contradictions remain visible and unresolved facts are described as uncertain rather than forced into agreement.

Original concise reconstruction

Coranto does not rewrite one publisher’s article. It reconstructs the supported factual record and uses a brief or fuller situation report according to how much explanation the event actually needs.

Continuing Story Threads

Material developments rewrite the maintained Story So Far while the update record preserves what changed. Resolved matters can be reactivated when consequential new facts emerge.

AI-assisted newsroom with governed publication

Research and drafting may be assisted by AI, but editorial policy, provenance, publication authority, corrections, withdrawals and safety controls govern the stored publication. Ordinary page views do not generate fresh reporting.
